Fishin the North Edisto

My dad wanted to go fishing today, so we took off from edisto in search of adventure.

To his defense, my dad hasn’t been fishing in a while. We lost our first big shark to my dads drag locking up. It almost launched him overboard before his swivel broke.

We started the day right with the transom door left open, and we took a big wave over the back. The water is nice and warm today.

We were followed to 3 different fishing spots by a sea hunt dual console, around 18ft. I would have been offended if they had actually boated a fish.

We released one big 6ft-ish bull shark at deveaux island. The waves were aroung 4ft, and the tag along boat got sea sick and headed home.

Boated a weakfish, a spanish, a bunch of lady fish, and blues.

Overall not a bad day. The boat was sluggish on the way back. I must have drained 50 gallons of water out the bilge when I pulled the boat out. Forgot to turn on the bilge pump. Took a lot of waves over the back.
