Fishin this weekend

Thinking of headed out to Copahee Sat or Sun morning. Haven’t hit it in a while. Are they on any pattern out there or is it a crap shoot? Gonna get out early and it looks like an incoming both days. A little help would be appreciated. If anyone is headed out maybe we can hook up and attack them together.

what time are you looking at going im new to copahee

I’m looking at getting there around 6am. Get early morning top water and fish a little more in coming and get off the water by 10 am.

Check the tides for the Copahee launch

Low looks like 5:30 am it shows .5 may not be till 6:30 for enough water to get out?

You are right

Looking at the nearest point I could find

capers creek, south capers island

Sunday low 5:06am .2ft

Capt dave

I usually check the data for Hamlin sound. Low is at 4:29 .3ft and high is 11:05 5.2ft.

If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.

still lookin at getting there Saturday around 6am. I figure by time I try for some minnows and get everything setup I can pull the yak down the creek a little ways and be set. Thanks for the tide info guys

I mainly fish the grass line with ok resultsbut was wondering hw it is headed out towards intracoastal. Not looking for special spots just general info

If it’s an 11am high tide I would look at launching between 7:30 and 8:00am. 6am is going to be pretty dry! Also, rule of thumb is when you see a few inches of oysters out in the sound it’s time to start heading back to the landing, or you may be stuck for a number of hours.

If you want to stay out, bring a rope to tie to your front handle to pull your yak through the mud. Then you can come in whenever you want. Bring a extra pair of shoes and your set for the ride home.
