Hit the water around 1030…overcast skies and drops of rain…but even Roo didnt seem to mind. Caught some small shrimp in the cut…then decided to go fish “the pleasant side” fished the banks from the marina into shem creek…caught a few small fish. Tossed the net around out on crab bank and james island yacht club side…dont know where the shrimp are hiding…but they werent there today…love my new 10 foot taped net…has 50 foot rope on it and I added another 25 for good measure to allow for current , wind and drift. Robert Olsen reminded me last year of the importance of tying end off to a cleat versus your wrist…never know what youre going to catch down there. It may take a while to get use to the rope not being in your hand…and you have to be careful for “a wrap” of the hanging line getting caught in your “skirt”…but after a while its nice…and feels a lot safer. Anyhow…not a bunch of fish pics…but a few of other things for those not able to be on the water today.
Heres my cooler of shrimp!
ok…so it was a little cooler…and man did I have to cast a lot for those!
Big Bobber///but hard to feel the bite for some reason:smiley:
he’s got his running shoes on!
that one was one of the bigger ones…most were small to medium
…but the fish thought the little ones tasted good:stuck_out_tongue:
Roo-sey Roo!
whooomppp…whooompppp…hey little boat…that horn means something!
AND I’m reading this while eating my morning trail mix bar…then get to the fixin’s part and suddenly the old bar just doesn’t taste the same. That skillet sure looked good!!
Roo always seems to find a cozy spot! The pirate costume is perfect! Has me wondering what we’ll see this winter, it was pretty creative last year! Pen, I’m curious…Was Roo always a natural, boat/water lovin dog or was that a survival adaption necessary for co-existence with his human buds?!
Great pics as always, thanks for sharing!! Now, I’m hungry!
