I know that some people fish from the shore around Bowen’s isl., I’d love any info anyone could offer about where to go around there, if I need to talk to anyone, etc. Any help is appreciated, pm me if you prefer/care to- I’m certainly not trying to blow up anyone’s spot, I just have to make the most of being stuck on shore.

Cast over the boat ramp. There’s some structure out there. Expect some hangups though.
One of the biggest sea trout I’ve ever seen with my own eyes came from there, 25". A guy on the pier had it hooked but couldn’t get it up. I was in my canoe, so I netted it for him. Thought twice about how fast the old guy could run if I headed for the car with his trout lol.
yowza! That would be a hell of a catch for sure! Good karma points for you for not claiming that fish! Maybe I’ll plan on staying off the bottom. I guess my question is: does the launch/pier belong to anyone specific that I need to ask to fish? Or is it public and I can just park there and throw in?
Belongs to the owners of the restaurant, if he is around he will collect anywhere from $1-$3

Worth the cost. I enjoy chatting with the guy, I always try to track him down. I usually pay before I launch but sometimes nobody is there, so I pay when I return. Usually he will chase you down lol.
Chairs on the old dock. And there’s usually a few folks fishing there,…heard a couple of the guys can be a little territorial. …but have seen them fishing from the ramp too. There’s the bottom of a old boat down in the mudd…just some ribs and boards sticking about a foot or so above mudd on low tide…that’s mostly what you will hang on. Low tide one day I saw a fella picking grubs off of it…said he had gotten 17 ;). It’s fished just a little bit. Between the dock and the first house has fish at times too…if you fish form the hill on that end. Caught a decent size sheep under that dock a couple weeks ago…some guy was grumbling about me being there and taking their fish so I moved on ;)… After I tossed the fish back
