Hey guys I just got a kayak(ride 135) and from what it sounds like copahee sound is a good place to kayak fish… I went out there the other day and was wondering if you can paddle down that creek that you launch into during low tide?.. Also any other tips for copahee/kayak fishing would be appreciated… Thanks!
sometimes you can paddle, other times only walk it depending on tide. Tips…, take good hard look at the sattelite picture for the first few times you are out there, stay in the creeks or close to them on the falling tide, and get use to scratches on the new boat (them oysters are sharp).
bjj,
You can launch during a low tide if you like pluff mud. Some guys will fish either side of a low tide. I usually go out about 2/3 hrs before a high and work till a couple hours after (beer dependent, of course) Cut mullet is my bait of choice.

Jimmy Buffett can have Margaritaville, I’m going to Redfishville!
Copahee!?? Who told you that crap?? Naw the Copahee sucksverymuchbad… Now Redfishville that’s the place to fish BEWARE the LOW Tide… If you want to fish there at low tide find a deep creek and stay close til the water comes back… other than that it’s my favoritest place in the world Late April or early May, when ever I get back home, we’re gonna have a big meet n fish there check out the northern invaders thread…
