Want to know if anyone is taking some trout or reds inside, is the water temp still too cold , really getting cabin fever, need to fish(catch)! Thanks
Haven’t fished recently but, I have caught both in January. Fish with artificials, bump along the bottom with a really slow retrieve. Really slow.
at this temp, trout fishing is pure finesse and i don’t got it. some folks do.
fresh cut bait for reds, up shallow at low tide especially on a sunny flat where it’s a degree or two warmer. it’s never too cold for them to eat if you let them put their nose on it.
can’t catch 'em sitting on the hill… but that’s where I am, so take it as you like from an armchair angler
