my father in law and i finally got the boat right and headed out of bushy park to a certain bank where we had always caught lots of specks.i had bought some (2)fluke lures off ebay, and after getting to this bank,we both tied them on and gave em a shot.1st cast my fil
hooks a 10 pound striper.as he is releasing it,i hook a fish that could have been its twin.45 minutes later and 10 more fish caught and released, the 2 lures were absolutely destroyed, and never got one bite from a trout.i wonder if any of you have seen this lure.it looks like a jig with a soft plastic grub, but there is this tinsel
looking stuff that in the water floats all around the grub.those stripers tore them up literally.needless to say,i was back on ebay
looking for more.by the way, these stripers were caught to the saltwater side of “the line”.thats what my fil said anyway.what a day.thought they would have been farther up river (fresh?)i just became a striper fisherman i think.
Nice report! What time were you on the water?
o-dark-thirty.we didnt pay any attention to tide or anything.just wanted to be on that bank before daylight.man,i am glad we did.i am pacing the floor right now as we speak.not since long beach island catching them in the surf have i felt a fish pull as hard as those fish did.it was awesome.i hope we can get some more action before they head downriver for the spawn.
forgot to mention, finding it hard to find the lures on ebay.cant remember the right search words i think.i still cant over the crazy looking bait working like that.
Just go into your “My Ebay” and look at the ones you bought the seller might have more listed if you look under see sellers other itmes. If it was more than 30 days ago then look into your ■■■■■■■■ where the person left you some ■■■■■■■■ you can find em there too with the item number. Good Luck!
If you get some more lures, how about posting a pic or listing the name of the lure?
