fishing Hilton Head ???

I am going to Hilton Head S.C. about the week of March 8th or 16th . How is the surf and /or pier fishing this early in the spring. I have not fished at Hilton Head. Were on the island would be a good place to fish? Are there any fishing piers? This early in the spring what would you fish for? What method and baits would you use? I know very little about surf fishing. Any and all information would be a big help. Also need some good restaurants on the island. We need to keep the Misses happy.

skull creek marina in hilton head…

cut bait or shirmp around the pilings… or grubs along the banks… my friend and i went there this fall for the first time and it was pretty good… picked up some redfish… You can fish on a part of the dock which is sorta like a pier/dock

your best luck is probably redfish trout and blackdrum… maybe even sheepshead cause those pilings are loaded… good luck
