I’m planning a trip with friends (guys trip) to Bimini in April. Pulling the boat down to Miami and making the run across. This is going to be our first trip, and we’d love any and all recommendations from anyone that’s got any experience down there.
We’re planning on going for wahoo, marlin, yft, bft/BFT, and swordfish.

I did this trip 2 years ago and this year we are planning to go all the way to the Abacos. I would not go all the way to Miami, just go to Lauderdale and park the rig and Harbortown landing. Secured parking and ramp for 6 bucks a day.
We where there in June. Weather great and HOT. Caught a 600Lb Blue dragging a green machine on the way back. If you fish offshore here its different down there. I learned my rigs where WAY to big. Kingfish rods are about the right size pulling small lures. They are also into jigging down there. We did not do any deep drops.

Easy run over to bimini from port everglades. theres a lot of traffic goin back and forth between bimini and florida so no worries about crossing alone. plus its only 48 miles or so. I dont know where you are gonna stay. but when you get there go straight to north bimini and go to customs. if your staying at bimini sands dont let them talk you into taking a cab and the ferry over to the customs house. Its a pain in the ars. If you dock at weeches dock you can walk right over to the customs building and it only takes about 10 minutes. you can troll any where around there for fish. lots of cudas though gets to be a pain sometimes. Last time I was there i got into a huge school of dolphin. I live in pompano beach florida now so I was goin over there a lot on the weekends, so if you have any other questions let me know and ill try to help the best i can.
