My family is heading to costa rica for my parents anniversary. We will be spending a couple days in Gunacaste and will have a day to do some fishing. Has anyone been down there and reccomend a good offshore/ roostefish guide? Thanks!

I think Gunacaste is a provence not a city! It is north of where we usually fish in Quopos. I would not think the fishing would be a lot differant! Might check with the place where you are staying and ask them! This is the rainy season but the fishing should be good I think the marlin bite is going on now.

I just got back from CR on Father’s day. If you haven’t gone yet you can see the post about vacation advice. We fished out of Quepos 2 days but nothing offshore nor inshore was biting while we were there. The tarpon on the Carribean side were lighting it up based on the pictures and scales the couple who split with my wife and I showed us. Lots to do in CR.
