Thinking of bringing our boat to HHI in June.
Do you guys have any tips on going offshore?
I have one plenty of rods/reels but not sure what to fish for.
How about trolling, type of lures work here best?
Which artificial reefs are good in June ?
Prefer not to go too far as I most likely will fish solo.
Any captains for hire to go out on my boat?

Do you guys have any tips on going offshore? Don’t go solo.Get a maps unique of the area.
I have one plenty of rods/reels but not sure what to fish for.Lots of options. In the sounds spanish, jacks and cobia. Also reds and trout if you want to fish inshore. Nearshore sharks, sharks and sharks. Also spanish and kings run the channels. A bit early but maybe a tarpon as well. Near reefs eagles nest and betsy ross lots of small black sea bass, cobia. 100 ft of water and the snapper banks you can find lots of bottom fish…grouper, trigger, b liners. Good cobia and live bottom around the two towers as well.
How about trolling, type of lures work here best? Trolling really requires a run to the ledge or deeper. Mahi will be scattered closer in but you will need to come across a pallet /log etc… otherwise its good pelagic fishing at the deli and triple ledge but those are at least 55 miles or more.Bait is mostly ballyhoo naked, sea whiches and islanders. Lures work well for Bills
Which artificial reefs are good in June ? See above.
Prefer not to go too far as I most likely will fish solo. Im not a fan of fishing alone offshore.
Any captains for hire to go out on my boat?Yes.Call Southern Drawl for advice on captains, bait and maps. Not sure where you fish out of but pop up lightning storms are common that time of year in the afternoon.
