I have been looking at buying a open top kayak and want to be able to transport it with a VW Bug. I want to put it on top of the car and i have done the prep work on a trailer hitch to pull a light weight tear drop trailer. So i have been looking at a pelican dlx 100 which is a 10 foot boat. This would be for small ponds, streams and calm waters so i was curious if i could get some ■■■■■■■■ on this kayak. Areas of interest would be the ability to stand and the safety of the boat in any kind of wave/chop/roll over. I have built a 2110 motor for the bug so i have the HP to pull everything, just want any input on the qualities of the pelican apex dlx 100 for fishing. Weight wise and length, it fits in the scope of this effort.
