ok … well … we went out in the AM … since everyone’s having problems “catching” bait - we bit the bullet and bought some … we did what Striperskiff told us to and where he told us to do it … we got a couple of hits here and there, but all RJ was able to pull up was this …
… with an assist from mom who held the rod steady just above the reel … 22" - 4lbs … kinda on the skinny side, but I’m thinking not bad for a 5 year old’s first freshwater fish!!!
Now just waitin’ on Striperskiff to see if he’s going back out this evening to play with the little stripers … LOL …

Nice size bass though! How deep were you fishing? If you went to where we tried to fish the day the storms moved in that might be a little shallow for now. We fished off the bottom in 60’ last night and caught them non stop, but not a single keeper 
…other than a 23" we picked up at a short stop by the towers before heading to the hump we fished.
Brother decided to come up from Chas, so not gonna make it out this eve, but we’ll try soon.
