Not really I fished Sat. 7/23 with a friend and his son. we got into some real nice slot reds caught [6] in the slot and maybe 
to small. Blues were cutting us off and we ran out of muddys. I put on a copper penny d.o.a. shrimp and hooked what I think was the biggist flounder i’ve ever had on my line, didn,t see him, but he bit like one and hugged the bottom real hard, he pulled the hook but did’nt break the line. Hope you have better luck next time.

Feel your pain. I do horrible July & Aug. I think my big problem (and I’m relatively new to catching fish routinely) is I don’t depart far enough from what works for me the rest of the year.
Or I suck.

I’m kinda like Vinman,July&August are always slow for me.I’ve been skunked on the tarpon this year.I’ve been catching some spotails early and late on spooks.There is plenty of bait shrimp in my area now(Toogoodo-Wadmalaw)and the bass seem to be pretty much wanting them over anything else.The trout are not here or maybe I should say I can’t catch any of them.Since the shrimp look pretty good maybe the cold didn’t hurt the trout as bad as we thought.
You can’t catch fish on a dry line

No way you suck Vin, everyone hits a slump now and again. I had one for several consecutive years! Holler at me sometime.
I caught about a dozen dink trout yesterday in the wando. No reds. Tons of shrimp in the creeks.
Live shrimp under a cork. If you don’t get bit in 10 minutes, move.
Caught some nice trout on topwater two weeks ago.
