Stopped and got some bait which was pretty easy. Water temp 67 but lots of bait still around. Headed out of wappoo cut towards stono yesterday…decided to fish area towards limehouse…then hit backside of james island county park before going home. Got rained on twice. ??? Rain? really?..they said nothing about rain! then the gnats moved in. 
Still had a great day with over 35 trout. still soft bite…almost felt like bait fish when they;d hit and let go. Smaller today but still a few really nice ones. seemed to be in a bit shallower water too…amybe why they were smaller? threw a few grubs too…they liked the copper penny and chicken as usual. water super clear. Great to be out there again.
fishing tip of the day…
if you put mullet in a cooler in a plastic bag…make sure its tied good…mullet beer and sodas dont taste so great

they now rest quietly in my freezer in nice little vaccum sealed “sleeping bags” for winter reds:smiley:
four casts and we had plenty for the day and some to freeze…picked some out for a lunch creole when we got home.
lazy bird…but smart…Id pull the net and when the shrimp and little fish would skip he’s just reach down and grab him a breakfast treat:smiley:
