fishing offshore 7-1 & 7-2

7-1 Left Rimey around 4 am with a crew of four My Brother Jimmy,My sister Sherry,and Brother inlaw Bill headed out to calm sea’s beautiful ride out started fishing around 200’ found some scattered weeds trying to form up, got lines in around 7. knock downs started pretty quick caught 8 or nine with a nice bull thrown in saw lots of fish free jumping, then they quit biting,left there to try deeper water. Mistake don’t leave fish to go find fish, new better . Trolled out to 680’ with very little to show for it.worked back in to 200’s and found them again it was on! between gaffing ,slinging,bailing and baiting rods very fast paste for couple hour ended up with a school of slingers and peanuts at the back of the boat pitching and bailing great fun.left them biting around two.caught 38 all Dolphin all sizes had a blast so did the crew.ride back in at 30 MPH

7-2 Differnet crew differnt story. left Rimeys around 4 with my Son Nick his friends Tony,Joe and their boys Nick and JR and my better half Janet. Ride out was beautiful again got the spread out around 195’ scattered grass and weeds lots of flyer. fished back to where we left them biting Friday around 205’ got there and nothing no weed no grass no bites. found a school on top that my son Nick spotted from the T top
Trolled to them three bites no hook ups story of the day. trolled out to 400’ before we finally got some fish to stay hooked up.Very slow day and couldn’t keep the bites we got on the hook. Ended the day with 4 dolphin biggest around 30 lbs. Did see a water spout out toward the 380 hole and 1 free jumping marlin. Still a great time with family and friends ride back was 30 mph Charleston chop was a little sloppy in the afternoon.
