Until I hear consistently better shrimping reports I will fish. With that in mind, my son and I are going to try to head down Sunday and fish out of our yaks. We usually fish the backside of Sullivan’s but want to go somewhere else. Probably going to put in at Paradise. Anyone have any advice, suggestions, tips, etc. for fishing that area for the first time?
Thanks
Fishing at Paradise has been pretty good. Every “likely looking” spot will usually give up a fish or two. points, creek mouths, mid tide flats on the edge of the marsh, and docks with oysters under them all give up fish right now.
Trout bite has been pretty darn good for the past couple of weeks. I’ve been finding them in 5-10 feet next to good ambush points.

You’ve never seen me fish Tommy. Sounds good though, think we’ll give it a shot.
The reds have been hungry for shrimp and wanted to ignore finger mullet lately. Trout are eating anything that moves right now… shrimp, mud minnows, finger mullet all working

You guys are getting me all excited. The pressure is on. Hope I have good things to report. Thanks for all the input.
Caught this one (1 of 3) at Paradise not 300 yards from landing.

There are no fish at Paradise! Stay away!
Oh man, thanks for telling me. Guess I’ll just stay home. No since in coming all the way down there if there are no fish to be caught.
If you decide you don’t want to fish Paradise I will be fishing behind Sullivan’s Island that day in the area around Pitt St. bridge if not good luck at Paradise.

Thanks G2M, we usually fish behind Sullivan’s in Conch Creek but the last few times we have been there it has gotten more crowded. Looking for some new (to me) spots and Paradise has been pretty hot lately. Thanks for the invite, let us know how you do. Hope I’ll have something good to report.
Tell us how it goes, good luck, hope you catch lots of fish

goes home through the alley.
