Looking for any ideas on making something to transport my fishing poles in my new pickup. I don’t just want them bouncing round in the bed of the truck or sliding out the back because the tailgate will be down with the kayak in the back. Any ideas will be great.
Thanks
In the fishing discussion section their was s post a little while back about a rod holder for your truckbed. Although it had like 12 rods, in a kayak I doubt you’d be taking more than 3. Go to walmart and get the undergunnel rod holder things, the horizontal one holds 4 rods, just secure it on the side of your truckbed. Or get a economy 3 pack PVC rod holders and screen it down where you want on your truck

Fishing is a delusion entirely surrounded by liars in pfgs and buffs.
I just took a long piece of PVC (that fit my rod handles) cut it into segments and screwed it to my truck bed liner, if you’re not opposed to putting a few smalls holes in your bed liner
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Put the rods in the yak, lay them along the hull and bungee them down… cheap easy and ya don’t need a lot of extra gear. just do not leave them or they will disappear… Ask TooBusy… If ya do need to leave them to go in and eat or something put them in the cab… they will bend enough and will fit. Always keep things as simple and light as possible… don’t over think things… There is way too much over engineering involved in kayak fishing these days…

I made this from stuff I had laying around the house.

I use little bungee cords to hold them in.
I am really spoiled
Malibu stealth Kayaks I can put four and have had six 6’or 7’rods under the deck using our gator hatch Storage area
