fishing regulations for stripers on Murray

I was going down to murray in the morning to look for schooling strips…not that i keep many fish but it would be good to know what a keeper is…im thing mid lake and down would be a good place to start my first striper trip of the year…
any suggestion would be appreciated…thanks Curt

From the DNR’s website: “On Lake Murray and the middle reach of the Saluda River it is unlawful to possess more than five striped bass a day. From June 1st through September 30th, it is unlawful to take, attempt to take, or possess more than five striped bass a day. On Lake Murray and the middle reach of the Saluda River from October 1st through May 31st, it is unlawful to possess a striped bass less than 21 inches in total length. From June 1st to September 30th there is no minimum length.”

To simplify, you can catch 5, and only 5, per person whether you keep them or not. No size limit.
