Fishing Report 11/3

Went fishing with Chip and so it’s really his report to give … So I’m just going to copy & paste his report which he posted on the other board …

"[Murraymaker] Fished with Lawcrusher today and his better half. Again another beautiful morning. Was expecting nasty winds, but had a glassy lake to start out with. Again started in Beaverdam. (I can’t go past this area and not try it. I fish it alot if you can’t tell). Quickly had a double on that produced 2 keeps. pulled the area a little more but started to notice alot more gar in the area than usual and eventually pulled up and made the move.

Next stop was mouth area of Indian crk. This area was DEAD. Very small amount of bait and had zero activity. I don’t think we even had a small pull back. Pulled up to make another run.

Ran to the BS a little above blacks. Pulled the banks and started picking up some fish here and there. Pretty spaced out but most fish were coming in the mouths of insets/coves. Picked up and ran to the Bush and found some nice fish there. continued on up the river aways a put a few more in the boat. Ended the day with the transom rod going for a ride and 3 planers going off at the same time. out of all that ended with a nice fish and gar…lol…

Over all another great day on the water. Wind was no where as bad as i thought it was gonna be, but i fished some protected areas that held fish. Ended today with 11 fattys and 3 or 4 short fish. Thanks to the Lawcrusher clan for some great company on the water today. Now get out there and pull yall some boards…hahahahaha"

Now for the rest … Thanks, Chip, for showing us the “boards” - now we feel a lot more confident about pulling multiples … I guess I may have to change my tackle some since the majority of what we carry are spinning rods with braided line … can’t imagine pulling 6 boards with 8+ lines in the water and having a short crash the spread with braided lines …

Ended up with a nice selection of fish ranging from 21.5" to 27" more than half were in t

Everyone in our house cleans fish … even the little one is learning …

but yes, my Wife does the fish cleaning predominantly in our household …

To be honest, I only started cleaning the fish the last couple of times because we got back so late after fishing that she needed help …

She about cried when she saw me cleaning the fish - not that I was doing a bad job, but that I was “taking” her job away from her …

I had to remind her that it was the least that I could do since she not only cooks the fish most of the time, but she catches more than I do, too …

it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish now!!!

Yes, I catch 'em, clean 'em and cook 'em, and love doing all 3.
