So that pretty much takes care of the 4/5 report except to say thanks to Chip for letting me tag along … We’ll wait until after the next TX to run back down there …
So, my Wife (who has to work on Saturdays) is now chomping at the bit to get out there and catch her own fish … We wanted to see if we could also catch some Shad while we were out so we went up river to Beaverdam …
Now the last time we went to Beaverdam we couldn’t pull 20 feet without running into at least three Crappie boats, but today was a different story (albeit the same results) … We put in and we were getting hits pretty much from the start although nothing was hooking up … Our baits were getting hammered by little Piranha Crappie … I wish we had some minnows and/or the patience to cut bait we would have loaded up on Crappie …
We did have a large Herring (and by large I mean one of our remaining 12" Atlantic Herring) get taken, but with not
