Okay, well since Chip already posted the Hill report - I’ll just copy and paste it here … no point reinventing the wheel … LOL …

Decided to do a little per fishing for the TX next weekend. Took Corey and Rick for their first adventure to the hill. Fished 4 different areas in the upper end… not a great day but was able to cross some places off and get another starting point to pre fish this fri…

Only ended up with 2 fish. One in the low to mid teens and another 18"…ha… but that’s how it is up there…had some nervous baits at time and had some good boils on them but no takers…

So that pretty much takes care of the 4/5 report except to say thanks to Chip for letting me tag along … We’ll wait until after the next TX to run back down there …

So, my Wife (who has to work on Saturdays) is now chomping at the bit to get out there and catch her own fish … We wanted to see if we could also catch some Shad while we were out so we went up river to Beaverdam …

Now the last time we went to Beaverdam we couldn’t pull 20 feet without running into at least three Crappie boats, but today was a different story (albeit the same results) … We put in and we were getting hits pretty much from the start although nothing was hooking up … Our baits were getting hammered by little Piranha Crappie … I wish we had some minnows and/or the patience to cut bait we would have loaded up on Crappie …

We did have a large Herring (and by large I mean one of our remaining 12" Atlantic Herring) get taken, but with not

Nice fish , cant beat a great family day on the water!

Great report. That was quite a day!

You forgot to say … and LONG … LOLOL

That sounds like some hot action. Congrats. I have been working everyday for two weeks now and cant wait to have a few days to get on the water. I will be lost again as to where to get started but I hope the cut bait bite will be on. By the way what is the water temp in the last day or so on murray?

The cut bait bite might be good. A friend of mine fished cut bait with his buddies for 6 hours Friday and they caught 63, with 17 keepers. They were anchored on a point in 12 feet of water, mid-lake.

Barstow water temps were 62 degrees and temps at Koon/Shull were in the low to mid 50’s … 52 comes to mind …

Thanks Guys that is what I wanted to hear.
