I will just copy and paste from the MSC forum…but I will say this. You always hear those dreaded words “just put your time on the water” but it’s the truth. We are slowly learning new lakes on each trip. We found a couple honey holes when certain conditions are present. They were there while prefishing and on day one but not there during a cold front…lol…
Since last April we have traveled to a new to us lake and fished it for the 1st time. All 3 trips have produced a fish over 20# one being 35#. It almost kills you to come home and fish Murray. Hopefully Murray will be back to her prime one day…

Prefished thurs and had a 20# fish and seth lost one in the trees he couldn’t do much with. From the word around town everyone was going to be in the rivers but we had a big fish bite on the south side and had a decent pattern to go on.
Fri same pattern held and had 5 double digit fish 2 biggest being 13# and almost 22#. Fri night we had a cold front come in and it messed our pattern up big time. And seemed to turn the bite on in the rivers. We could only manage 1 14# fish sat and didn’t catch it till we had moved 4 times and was only an her left of fishing time.
Needless to say me and Seth had our work cut out for us from the go. Hopefully some more people will start fishing the SBCC and we wont be the new kids on the block…lol…We had never seen this lake nor fished it before thurs. But we gave it our best shot and that’s all we could do. We learned a lot and that wi
