Fishing Report

I fished pretty hard in the last week to get ready for the SBCC. Two weekends ago I fished the area a in and around Buffalo Creek with mixed success. I used PB FL DR and Corks some with no weight a couple with 1/4 ounce weights. I caught some fish but they were so Few and far between I didnt think it would be very reliable for a TX. Last week I tried the coves all around Dreher Island using the same tatics with a little better results(def better quality fish up to 28")Now for last Sat(TX Day) My partner and I decided to abandon the fish we caught in the previous week and go all the way up the little saluda we went all the way to the wooden bridge in the back and man the fish were in there so were the birds and the bass boats but everyone was pretty mindful of everyone else. we had three fish on a couple times all fish were over 25". We stayed in 15 foot or less around the edges. We used all the same tatics as we had all week. Most fish came on PB. As for bait the gizzards were the ticket but we used herring and big shiners and caught fish with all. The herring did not catch very much. The bite ended for us about 9:30.

CF, that wooden bridge must be WAY up the Little! I’m not even sure where it is! Thank you for the report with all the bait details.

The gizzards worked all day for us Saturday and we caught 2 on the big gizzards on a cork line
