Fishing reports

i figured since the board has been dead lately that I would post my weekend reports fished area 14 Friday pulling free lines and boards in 4 to 20 ft picked up some high teens and 6 to 7 pd fish off water by 12. Fished Saturday in area 19 pulling boards and free lines in 8 to 25 ft of water picked up 9 quality keepers from 7 to 9 pds all caught on gizzards and herring the gizzard ratio was much higher than the herring think all in all we picked up a weekend total of 5 on herring. Alright guys I started the reports let’s see a few more come out its not tournament time yet .

Got my days mixed up it was Saturday and Sunday

I worked night shift all weekend, but we caught several limits each night . They are always biting good at work .

Shipwreck, thanks for the reports and trying to get things started.
As you mentioned, both boards (MSC, Striper Fishing) have been as dusty as my gear. I haven’t been all year, so I have to live vicariously through y’alls reports.

No problem Jim

I fished Saturday with Spoon and friend Rob onboard. It was slow in the morning for us, but the afternoon picked up. We ended up with 6 keepers 5 to 8 pounds, a 10 pound channel, and a bunch of shorts. Freelines, planers, corks, and downrods produced in 5 to 50+ feet of water. Strange but true! We fished upper midlake.

Nuno and I went cut baiting on the 25th of April and the 2nd of May. Each time we fished from around 7pm until after dark. One night we ended up catching about 15-20 cats up to 12 pounds, 2 short stripers, a perch and a couple gar anchored in 8 feet of water I believe. The bite was basically all on the shallow side. The other night we anchored in 16 feet and caught 6 cats up to about 10 pounds and 3 stripers up to 27". This time the bites we both shallow and deep. I wish I could post the pictures of the cooler. All I can say is Nuno has some fish loving friends!

I don’t get to post many reports, but since they have been few and far between, here it goes. Got to fish today and it was a “catching” day, not a “fishing” day. Got on the water about 6:00am mid lake. The bite was hot and steady. Lost count of how many keepers we caught, but it was at least 20, anchored by a 10 lb. 9 oz. fish. All fish were caught on herring pulling boards and free lines SHALLOW. The fish and the bait were all over the banks. We stayed in less than 20 FOW. The bite quit on us around 10:30 - 11:00 when the sun got up high. All fish released except a flathead that was about 6 or 7 lbs. that will be the guest of honor at the next fish fry. I’ve caught plenty of flatheads on bush hooks in rivers, but this was a first for me/us on Murray.
