I don’t think i will be out in the morning. I am worried shakey may get to brittle in the cold and fall apart on me. Pierce may have a pass for sunday evening, but I am not missing the Steelers/Ravens game. I may head out in the afternoon/evening.

I’ll be out there as long as two friends coming up from Beaufort don’t think it’s too cold and chicken out on me. If they do, I’ll just have to find another crew

Jim, calcium chloride will do a much better job of melting ice at the temps expected saturday morning. Salt will not work. i would suggest spreading a layer of dow flake on the ramp before anyone uses it. Most concrete plants will have it on hand and it is probably cheaper than bags of snow melt. good luck out there, I hope nobody gets hurt or damages there boats/trucks. I probably wont fish, Pierce is out and i just don’t think it would be safe alone. I may go out around noon.

Pro tip from a guy from up north! I don’t think fishing in 10degree weather sounds like fun-no, an electrical storm or good ole southern thunderstorm, I’ll be right in the middle of…go figure :sunglasses:

I picked-up some small gravel at a landscape company this afternoon. I’ve seen this work when I lived in West-by-God-Virginny. The gravel seems to make a lot more traction than sand and the ice tends to hold it in place - we’ll see.

Thanks, Carl. Missed you at the banquet. Pierce and Tom, too, for that matter.

I guess you can blame me for the cold weather. I said it was not right to be outside cooking on Christmas in shorts and a T-shirt. I am used to having some clothes on. I even told the wife that it is camping weather the other night.

If anybody needs a cold weather buddy this weekend, just hollar. I ain’t skeered. :imp:

Seriously though. Layer. I have not really worn a big coat because I layer, even in South Dakota. Keep it safe this weekend.

The wife cringes everytime I say the “F” word.</font id=“blue”>

Hey Sharky, wish I could fish with you sat. See you in a couple of weeks.Maybe I will have that new weather enclouser on. Remember me when you hook up because my employees will be lighting me up with paint balls.(FROZEN)
