Fishing Saturday!!

left the WAOMC dock at 9am in Richards new Egret 19 footer. The 175 merc roared to life and i mean roared.:smiley:Off we went at a brisk 50mph down the river.I froze My butt off.No windshield to hide behind. My jacket zipper broke and We had to stop so I could get reorganized.I then put on my Buff and wool hat.It was a new experience to me.I never sat so low with my big ass inches away from the water.I looked for a place to hide and found none.As soon as we stopped it was great. We fished along a trout spot for about an hour with no hits.We moved to several spots and still no fish. The boat is really perfect for fishing.fast, sleek with plenty of fishing room.Rides dry and slick.55 mph feels like you are flying in that rig.Plenty of storage space plus a 25 gal bait well. The remote trolling motor went out and Rich said that’s it for me i am done.:smiley:Fancy expensive rig loaded with all you need and he is done?? I ragged him about that and we had a good laugh. One spot i had two hits tore up my grub but no hook up.We called it a day and headed back to the ramp.It was warm by 2pm so 55mph was just perfect. All in all a great day on the water. In that great rig I really felt close to nature.Egret 19 footer with a 175 Merc.Something for me to think about if i do chance rigs.

Nice read stono. Thanks

Water temp was 50.I have caught plenty of trout in temps that low.If i would have had some live minnows to soak in my spots I would have caught some trout.I may drop my rig in and set out some cut bait for reds.
