Fishing the Creeks

The wind (and all the extra boats) made it a little tough to fish this weekend, but we did manage to find some redfish up Rathall creek on Monday morning. We were fishing the very beginning of the incoming tide in the late morning. I had five finger mullet in the livewell and managed to catch five reds back to back on a carolina rig. The fish were stacked up on the outside of a bend near a big hole and just upstream (on the incoming tide) of an oyster rake. One red was at 18" and the rest were 25" or a little bigger. Tried trout trick, mirrodine, and shrimp too but all they wanted was live mullet. There were a few shrimp in the creeks and they should be back in full force in the next week or two.

Nice fish, thanks for sharing.
