Fishing the Jetties

I am itching to give the Jetties a try. I have a 18ft Bayliner/125 Mercury OB. I’m guessing try on as calm a day as possible.

I did see a nice article in Post and Courier:

http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20120715/PC20/120719464/winter-column-rocking-the-rocks&template=arttl

I am open to any comments particularly involving safety, tides, north south side, within or outside jetties, etc. etc. What is the closest you would anchor near them?

What about tackle too? Lose a lot in the rocks?

Thank you so much. I would even be VERY open to taking a semi pro out there to show me the ropes OR be a fun buddy on a trip out there.

Thanks

The Jetties should have a stand alone forum so info would be filed under one heading…

What are these “jetties” you speak of?

Perhaps " jetties " is a slang term for Boeing employees…
