Went out with Projectile Yakker, William from B&B, and Sanford on Wednesday. Hit the usual spot on falling water. Once we paddled to our little area, the schools were right where we had left them 3 weeks ago. Spent the afternoon chasing the schools around at low water, and got about 15 fish between us. All were over slot (I wanted to take one home for dinner, but oh well!), with my biggest being 11.5lbs and 31.5 inches, and sanford’s biggest was even bigger! Water was clear and lower than normal, but the fish cooperated. At one point we followed the dolphins to a school, and spooked the dolphins out, but the school stayed put. We pulled two out of there, one had some dolphin battle scars on it.

Fish were caught on cut mullet, doa rootbeer chart. grubs, and exudes with chart. tails.

Thursday: Hit the James Island side of the harbor with Projectile Yakker for the falling tide again. Found fish right off the bat, but man these fish were spooky!!! We kept spooking them off until the tide dropped so low that they disappeared. I have never seen the tide this low where we were, and it kept us from getting back in for a few hours. We explored around a bit, and I found a Fortress Sea anchor with chain that was exposed with the low tide. Now if I just had a boat…

Anyhow, followed the rising tide back into our flat, and found some fish feeding. Again, they were spooky as hell, but did nab one about 25" on cut mullet.

Water was really clear, so much so that I could almost read the tag numbers off a fish I was following down the bank.

Great days on the water, I love global warming!!!
