Fishing the shipping channel

I have read articles where they talk about fishing the shipping channel. Is that just outside the Charleston Jetties? What time of year will the King’s begin to show up?

Im not real sure for that area but most kings start coming in really close thick during the fall months. I would get into the area tack shops and grill the locals on when is hot.

I have caught kings in mid-late June dropping lines right in as we head out of jetties. Do seem to do better later in summer but do not fish in fall due to deer season

Just troll in and around buoys and I like to hit the edges of channel as well.
