Fishing the Stono River.

Walked down my dock around 7:30 and noticed no wind and pretty clear water.Good news for me.Headed to trout spot one and caught 2 small trout on the green DOA free lined.Tried several grubs no hits so i moved on.New recorded showed me my creek is not flat.Found deeper spots i never knew or paid attention to in 20 years.Trout spot 2 no hits for about 1 hour.Spotted big schools of reds and set out cut whiting .They swam all around the baits and no hits.Went to spot 3 and noticed water temp was 62.Threw grubs up near shore and the docks and no hits for about another hour.Tide was coming in pretty go so i turned and threw in deeper water.10 feet plus.In the next 2 hours i boated 30 trout or more. Most 12-14 inches.Lots of 10 inchers.AS they hit i kept changing grubs, here is the total,Green metal flake about 3,DOA Chartruse shrimp(5)Several other grubs ZERO.Lehi shad maybe 20.I lost my last one today.(**()!!!Water was clear to 3-4 feet, temps remained about 61 to 63.Tried popping corks with the kitchen sink on them and ZERO.Ran into Mark and he had caught about 8 nice reds.Took a pic of a guy on the fly with a nice Red.Had to fish alone.Jimmy did not get my message. He missed out big time.May go out tomorrow and be back by Redskin kickoff.:smiley:New Lowrance is a really nice unit.

Good job, Joe! It’s nice to see you actually getting to fish instead of looking after everyone else. I guess it is possible to teach old dogs new tricks. Or new spots…
