Putting in @ the Dam. Will anyone be on that side of the lake? Hoping to put 2 7 year old boys on some fish. Last night I fished, I fished the towers and got nothing. Going to be taking shots in the dark looking for fish. I did get some rail main driftmasters brackets so I can ATLEAST spread out some rods. Still gotta get a couple more.
Not a real need right now spend too much time searching for fish late in the evening. You should be able to catch some just drifting in the open water. Since you don’t have a trolling motor, the only problem may slowing your drift down. A drift sock or 2 would help. Worse case, if the wind is still blowing, you may be able to put your stern into the wind and idle in reverse. You should see plenty of fish suspended anywhere from 55’-70’. If you normally keep your FF depth on auto range, it will be hard to decipher in real deep water. Set an upper and lower limit to only view between something in the range of 40’-80’ when drifting in the river channel.
Thanks. Are you referring to the big water between Spence and the Towers?..
Yes, Striperskiff is talking about the big water. It’s going to be windy this evening and with the wind out of the WSW, it’ll be blowing straight towards the dam. If you can’t slow down your boat, you may struggle.

Yea…if it don’t die down enough to have a controlled drift, your best bet may be to just anchor on a hump in something like 65-75’ and just hang there.
We tied up to the middle tower with 3 other boats around us and had fun with the immature fish. Caught 7-8. After getting 4+ line tangles 3-4 times in a row from fish being so small we didn’t know we had one I gave up. Was aggravated.
