Had to leave my dock at 5:30 to get out of the creek.Running the ICW with out a very bright spotlight is tough on old people.I had one.It was easy.Arrived at limehouse and decided to fish for trout.Hit my favorite dock and caught 2 nice 12 inch trout. Then it was zero for 30 minutes.Blue fish hit and tore up one of my last Lehi Eel grubs.Played with stuff on the new boat until the guys showed up at 7am.Went into rantowles and caught a mess of mullet.Headed to several spots and finally Scott hooked up with a nice red.Went under a dock and broke off.Later another red hit this time we dropped the bimini and went under the dock and followed it.One small scrape on the new rig but worth the effort.Nice 28 inch red pics taken and the fish released.Went to several other places and nothing going on.Water temp was 74 and clear to 2 feet in places.Scott dropped the Minn Kota in and we played with it for about 45 minutes.Tracks perfect.just trying to figure how to get it in and out.We did it by messing around.I found the book and think i know what to do now.Boat was great and plenty of zip and room.Great day with two good guys.
Joe, thanks for taking us out for the “maiden” voyage. It was a good day fishing and I had a good time with you and Scott. Chasing Scott’s redfish under the docks was the highlight and gave me a story to tell! Thanks again!!

Thanks Stono! Had the time of my life. A little windy but better than being at work. I still feel terrible/perplexed that your penn rod broke at the bottom of the shaft off of one of my casts! Please let me know how that turns out when you bring it in.
Looking forward to learning a thing or twelve when you come down to the IOP area or maybe even get out for a shark fishing day. No matter the day, let me know and I’ll be there. Thanks again!
Took the rod to Dee.Will find out if they will give me another one.never used it.
