We planned to go out tomorrow to GT hole. I see predictions are 4 feet 8 sec? Is that decent for a 26 foot boat?

Lots of view and no opinion? I am planning on going but would not mind hearing a few more opinions

The only opinion that matters is your own. Do you feel comfortable with the seas think you and your boat can handle it. Also take into account it’s the weather man it could be worse or better. Half the people on here I would not take advice from.

It is very doable, but it all depends on your comfort level, knowledge, and boat handling skills. The fact that you are asking if your 26 foot boat can take it makes me think you should maybe rethink going. 4 foot at 8 secs is what the average is expected to be. I am sure a couple 6 footers and a but more chop will be out there. Good luck if you go.

I’m heading out Tuesday on Angler’s Dream with probably 5 aboard. Heading to GTH at first light. Wish us luck and I hope to put up my first trolling report of the season.

Looks like the hole might be crowded tomorrow. We’re heading out too. gonna work the hi speed wahoo trolling rigs. RipCharts says the water there has warmed to over 73 degrees. Maybe there’ll be some Mahi show up? We’ll bring those rigs too!

Truth! I’m surprised some of these people ever leave the dock…
