Fishing Tomorrow...

Sorry guys, I hate to do this, but I don’t really see that I have a choice. As of right now, with mixed emotions and deepest sympathies, by the power vested in me, I hereby close down the offshore fishery out of Charleston tomorrow. That means no offshore fishing for anyone tomorrow, regardless of your comfort level or the height of your tidal rails.

I realize that, especially, the guys with the 17 ft bay boats that only burn 14 gallons per ledge trip are going to be highly upset about this, but please believe that it is for your own safety.

That being said, to make up for this… We are investigating adding on 8 minutes to the red snapper season this year. I’ll keep you posted on that.

Thanks,
mgmt

lol for sure, you are cool, dude. Good stuff right there…

Crap, I already gassed up the McKee… Unsinkable and all that. It’s probably worth a peek out the jetties in the morning. I’ll let you know how it is

Cancelled I said...

Tomorrow each man should spend time with his wife. Take her out to a nice lunch (maybe a Nathan’s hotdog, or Five Guys or something). Tell her you are taking the day off from fishing because you just felt like you wanted to spend the day with her. Tell her, you can always fish next weekend, but this weekend, SHE is more important… If she’s lucky, I may even let her give me a back massage and\or rub my feet…

Skinneej, you’re going about this all wrong.
It’s a dangerous thing we’ve done by removing natural selection from our ranks…

Fishermen: by all means, if you feel the weather is great for you to out in your wee boats, I say go for it. Just make sure your life insurance is up to date.

Edgewater 245cc

I read on this site that the shad were running at the jetties. Just find the lee and fish it.

You’re too late. Some dude and his GF ran a 25" sailboat onto the jetties yesterday.

Must have been looking for the shad.

I am impressed a 25" sailboat made it out to the jetties.

Well…I guess that means the Tidewater stays on the trailer and I’m not driving 4 hours. I can buy my wife a burger at Five Guys for which I will gladly pay them on Tuesday !
