For many of you, this is no big news. For me, it was a great day! We caught 1 tuna, 1 shark, 2 snapper, 2 sails, 11 wahoo, and 25 baracuda.
This past Tuesday??
Umm, you gonna eat that?
Holy CHIT!
Is that here on East Coast or the Gulf?
Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good but I wanna see it.

Thanks. Did not run out of Charleston. We ran south out of Islamorada. Water temp was 71-72. Caught the first fish at around 10:30 a.m. Left 'em biting like crazy at 4:00 p.m. No telling how many we’d have caught if we’d gotten an early start and stayed all day. That’s our plan for next time…get there earlier and stay later.
Scoutin 4 Goodies said to tell you we caught 'em at the jetties, but I didn’t figure you’d fall for that.

You don’t know skinnee, he would have been running a spread at the jetties tomorrow!
What did you catch em on Hwilcox? I see the Yozuri but any on ballyhoo? Deep or shallow?
Did you “tag” and release the 25 cudas??

I get seasick just looking

You know hwilcox, some of the rest of us on here like to fish too. I expect to be asked to chip in for gas and bring beer next time you make that kind of run to the south… Looks like I will be cancelling my trip to the jetties this weekend!

Wow! Several questions there. We caught the sails on the ballyhoo. Most of the wahoo were taken on the Yozuri plugs pictured. You can tell from the pix, they were hammered pretty hard. A few of the hoos bit soft plastic the same orange/black color as those plugs. We were fishing a long ledge where the depth went from 90’ to about 600’ pretty quickly. We zig zagged back and forth up and down the ledge.
Yes, we “tagged and released” the many of the cudas…then we got tired of tagging 'em and just released 'em.
Wow, that is a nice day on the ocean… Hopefully soon we will start running out of Charleston for the early bite…

Thanks. Those plugs were about 5.5 inches long. I’ll get you the specific model number on Monday when I get home.
Did you forget to mention the Mahi?

Snapper caught on cut up ballyhoo at about 160’. The mahi ate plastic we were trolling for Wahoo.
We need to get up a trip back down there before long…while they’re biting so good. I’m ready to go again…but then, I’m ALWAYS ready.
