Fishing up the Wando

Spent the day fishing the Wando and could not buy a bite! Got there on the falling tide and tried some creeks around Dunes west. I know stay out of there cuz there is NO fish up there. Tide was really fast so it was pretty tough to find anything. Fished bottom rigs with cut menhaden and worked the creek mouths points and rakes with slip minnow rigs with artificial. Worked the river down in to Horlbeck and anchored a while where we saw some acivity but no dice. It was only my second time on the Wando so I have a lot of searching and learning to do this year.

I am heading to the South Edisto tomorrow morning. At least I think I can find a fish there.

No fish up that way. Stay away.

Really . We catch them deep all day long.
And coming off the flats as the tide does out.

I know, The tide was running out and closer to low. I Should have stuck to the channels a bit more but the wind was pretty strong at times.

Never approach a bull from the front a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction!

Yep no fish around the boat landing or by the wall where the golf course is.
