Tuesday, I had to go to from Beaufort to Edisto Beach to install a global pos sys on a 30’ Albemarle. 28 minutes by water vs. 1 hour 40 min. by land, so I took the boat loaded with tools (and a couple of rods. )
On the way, stopped at a favorite drop, seeing fish pushing from a distance. One cast with a Gulp jerk bait took this nice red that pushed 35 inches…let’s call it 35. Did NOT want to come to the boat! Bottomed out the 15 lb Boga. That is my personal best inshore…prior was 34 inches. I know guys who fish for bull reds with cut bait have caught 'em way bigger, but for skinny water, this one was a hoss! Two casts later, almost a twin at 33+ inches.
Jim, I still have my old Motorguide Great White 82 pound 24 volt that I replaced. If you think you can use it and yours to get one good working motor, I’ll give it to you. I know the motor is good… not certain about the controlling/steering part. Let me know if you would like to try it. Nothing to lose but some time.
Jon Boy…would LOVE to have it! Is it a 60" shaft? No matter…I should be able to swap it out. I think the digital board bit the dust in mine. I also have a new top & bottom plastic head to put on it. Hold for me and I’ll get my son Brandon to come to the next meeting and get from you if possible! Thanks man!

I can’t remember the shaft length, but it was on my 21’ bay… should work on yours. I have two remote fobs, a foot pedal (which I think is bad), a quick-release mounting base and discs, and maybe some other stuff that goes with it. I’ll be glad someone can get some good use out of it. I’ll have it at the May meeting.
