Fishing with Donnie

we decided to fish folly way today…and headed to the backside of morris island to check out the oyster rakes there. Caght lots of tiny tiny shrimp in just a few casts…and a good couple dozen finger mullet on the way out…and had a couple bags of the new TROUT Trick worms we had picked up from Haddrells yesterday. Seemed we were lucky today because almost everywhere we stopped we managed to pick up a few fish…and then hit a drain where it was solid action for about 15-20 minutes as we reeled in one after another little reds and trout…nothing huge…but wow!1 what a blast we had! then I caught this jumping jack…or janet:wink:…one of our mini versions of a tarpoon i guess:smiley:…they can sure put on a show! caught it while fishing the bottom with a flounder/carolina rig… hooked something that i was never able to turn along a ledge…I think it was a huge Ray…donnie thinks it was a shark…but to me it ran like a ray…but definately had a long hard bend in my rod for a few minutes! Cut me off and that was the end of that. hate it when you cant at least see whats on the other end…especially when theres a bet going on:smiley:

Tries the new trout trick worms with great results. We caught fish on other stuff too…but the Trout tricks definately seemed to get the attention of trout and reds as promised…and were a lot of fun…even if I did manage to forget the proper head/hook to use:frowning_face:

Hot day out (left Roo at home…just to dang hot for her out there…sorry Roo:frowning_face:)…and the wind really picked up around 1030…we came in around 2pm…Had a blast …ready to go again tommorow.:sunglasses:

Well…since the correct things to rig them on were sitting home in my garage…I just rigged it on a regular grub head(s)…Im sure that it would have worked much bette rthe correct way…but hey…if they can still “Trick Trout” this way…they must really work!
btw…You can borrow my nail polish when you go get you some to try :)…now…if someone could figure out where I might find the mystery grub/lure in my other post…i would be really happy!

Great job out there P & D. We agree on the “can’t see” quote. Those always haunt for awhile!

Spooky match on the nails. I wouldn’t swim until you change colors. May wind up Hillbilly trout fishing!

Penny likes to noodle for trout … Penny told me, “I’ll show that Bob guy.” haha

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
