It was my first time to participate in anything even similar to this event, but it won’t be my last. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and gave me an even better appreciation of what our military folk do for us. I had 2 wounded warriors on my boat and the stories that they told were really eye-opening. We couldn’t find any decent fish, but caught plenty of small fish and had a great time. What an honor to be able to give a little back.
Dustin and David. Two of our many heroes on my boat.
Another boat nearby with 2 more of our heroes.

Charles, it’s too bad that you didn’t post a picture of the one(s) that I had “hoped” we were going to catch. I concur with your comments. Jason and Austin were great company and fine young men to have on board. Even though things didn’t work out quite the way we had planned (Austin had never even held a baitcasting reel prior to today), we fished hard and they were very appreciative of all of the efforts of everybody who turned out to provide boats for this event. Mutual appreciation was a two way street.
Big thanks to you and all who participated in showing our military a good time. It sounds like everyone enjoyed the day. I wish I could have been there and helped too. Hopefully another time. Too bad fishing was so tough though.
Bowhunter, I was just hoping to see a photo of that fine looking umbrella holder you have.
Thanks again guys!

The holder was a big hit. With all the pictures that I took, I thought for sure that I might have a picture with the umbrella, but I don’t. If you look across the top of my depth finder, you can see the top of it in the background. The guys on my boat thought that it was a good idea and asked me where I got it. I told them the idea was mine, but the work was all you. Thank you Bob for your work and I will get you a picture next time that I use it. I’ve got an idea for another one that I will be talking to you about shortly.

Tom, It’s really easy to post pics. When you start a new thread or reply to posts, there’s a little paper clip at the bottom with “Insert an Image File” next to it. Click it & another smaller window will pop up. Click browse to search for the pic on your computer. When you find it, open it and the window will change and say something like upload image to Tom Gittos post. click that and it will post the pic, then ask you to close the window. Try it.

Really enjoyed the day with my two Wounded Warriors", Vern and Clint, and my good friend Dennis Huber. Clint took first place in the Wounded Warrior side of the tournament.
Dennis flew down from Wisconsin to be my “first mate”, because he wanted to help with the veterans!
