Fishmeal comparison

For many years the fishmeal I always bought looked like the sample on the left. It came from Orangeburg Milling in a plain brown bag with a tag stitched on it stating that it contained menhaden meal. A couple of weeks ago I got my man at the feed store in Dalzell to order me a bag of meal. When I picked it up, it was a white bag printed with Daybrook Fisheries Premium Menhaden Meal, the sample on the right. He told me that one of his good customers who uses fishmeal in his garden said that the “old” fishmeal contained about 30% ground chicken feathers and other fillers. I didn’t think much about it until i compared them side by side. You can definitely tell the difference. I researched Daybrook Fisheries and sure enough they claim their meal is 100% menhaden. I don’t know if it’s gonna make any difference as bait, but I hope it does.

Any difference in price?
