Flats Sunday night

Went out behind Sullivans last night to try and catch a flood tide. The water was up, but not very high, which made it difficult but not impossible. I would say it was knee deep in most spots. I actually heard most of the fish before I saw them. I guess the water wasn’t deep enough for them to “gracefully” attack their prey. They were sloshing around getting after it. I spooked quite a few by throwing bait right on their head. As I was heading out, I was standing in kayak just cruising down the weed line when I heard a huge splash. Turn around just in time to see where it came from. Got bait on the line and went after him. I had a go pro attached to my fishing pole just above the reel. Not the best video, but for my first time, I am pumped. BTW, this was my first time catching a tailer.

Enjoy

Awesome…congrats!

Beautiful time of day to be on the water. That is really cool. How did you mount the GoPro to your rod?

“Apathy is the Glove in Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”.

@DFreedom I just used the Handle Bar mount and mounted it to the cork padding above the reel. Worked great for what it did, but I would have preferred a better shot of the fish in the distance. I cant wait to get out there again.

Thanks for the ■■■■■■■■ everyone.

Great night on the water.

Congrats on your first tailer, that is a huge accomplishment!

Only problem with helmet cam is you’d be surprised how much you move your head.

Get a YakAttack PanFish camera mount… you won’t regret it
