So much water, So little time
Try the one’s their eating…seriously, try to find you a good local guide or fly shop that can put you on the right size, weight and styles that’s catching fish this time of year.
Generally speaking, patterns that cover the crab, shrimp and baitfish spectrum will get you bit. Throw in a spoon fly and a few attractor or top water patterns so you can cover the water column and you should be good to go just about anywhere you would want to fish in the world.
I know for a fact that the locals throw an awful lot of bait fish type plastics for the trout and reds in this part of the country.
They also fish some pretty wild colors so don’t be afraid to pay around with the color spectrum just dial it back if the water is really clean. My only other suggestion is to find some bait and find some cover, if your on the bait what you’re looking for won’t be very far away!
