I Travel down from Orangeburg and would like to incorporate in the day some flounder fishing. Does anyone have advise on Deewes Inlet and Price Inlet on what is the best tide, bait and rigs? They look like good places for flounder?? I have only caught flounder by mistake throwing artificial bait for trout and reds. It does not have to be for the locations mention above. I mainly fish in the Wando and up the IC
Get some mud minnows and hook one to your jig head.Flounder will usually bite them if you can drag it in front of one. That’s the problem though, there aren’t near as many flounder around as there once was.Maybe the new size limit will help. Also try to cover as much water as possible,I don’t sit and wait for flounder to come to me.Good luck to ya.
Figure out how to catch them and then tell me!!!

Any time I’ve caught flounder, it has been by accident. Generally by bouncing a ZMan shad along the bottom on a too-heavy jighead, or mud minnows on the bottom on a carolina rig.
However, taking fishing advice from me is like attending a gunsmithing class taught by Barbara Boxer. Or having Billy Joel as your AA sponsor and driving coach.
