I’m been gigging flounder for a long time. I was curious if anyone else has been seeing low numbers this year? I can usually go out this time of year and get 15 to 25 with no problem but this year I haven’t broke double digits yet. I also haven’t been seeing the imprints or shorties along the bank like I have in the past. I hope its just been my luck and that the rest of you are doing just fine. I will say, if you see the ones that are questionable on size, PLEASE pass them by. Thanks for any input, I’m just curious, not trying to raise a red flag.
IMO, its all the rain we have been getting… Tends to drive them out into deeper water, but I could be wrong…

Agreed.
Between that and the super dooper moon, we haven’t seen big numbers yet this year either.
Saw ten saturday morning over 5 hours, stuck 6 nice ones. Sure, would have liked to have seen more, but I’ll take 6 quality fish over 12 barely legal any day.
23,
Do you take your big boat giggin’, or do you have a smaller boat for giggin’ and skinny water fishing?
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
I have a small boat that I gig, sheepshead fish, and shallow water redfish out of.
If any of y’all wouldn’t mind picking up an extra guy, shoot me a PM. I can help with costs and am very eager to learn!
