Flounder Gigging - October

Looking at maybe sticking some flounder friday night on the Wando or ICWW weather dependent. Low pressure’s supposed to be here. Anybody been sticking any yet this month?

Haven’t tried since May and we stuck some very large flounder and sheephead then.

Only got 12 last week. They’re bout to slow down. Plenty of reds to stick though.Good luck.

There are no more flounder in Charleston. They have all moved to Beaufort for an early winter.

I think maybe you were thinking what I was thinking but you can gig spottail until Dec tho…just looked it up :wink:

If my family had plenty of money I wouldn’t gig reds either. My parents and my wife’s parents will eat anything we can bring them.A red is like a T-bone to all of us, and with four kids at the house. I make all my trips count. Hi Matt. So, if you have any mahi or grouper you wanna get rid of or donate Southernmiss. With your 38 ft. Boat let me know. I can show you how to gig 30 flounder in 2 hours.
