I’m done this year. You’ll still see the occasional fish now, but it’s not worth it for me once December rolls around. Try again in April. On the other hand, now is excellent for trout!
By the way I have the 15’ high tide with a 60. I imagine yours with scream with a 90, lol
Thanks for the reply. My boat will run 47 with a full tank of gas and all my gear including cooler not as fast as you would think but fast enough lol

I went out the other night…ummm, last Friday I think just to see what was around. I saw plenty of flounder, but none were legal. All were way too short. I also saw redfish in droves…at least a couple hundred of them of all sizes, and there were plenty of small sheepshead and black drum. They will be back in April/May.

Thanks for the response guys I just started gigging this year and enjoy it a lot. I was looking at some of the FB sites in NC and the gulf and those guys gig right on three winter I could understand the gulf but the NC guys kinda surprise me with some of the fish they are still sticking. I thought that once the water temp got lower the flounder would move off shore. Like I said I’m still new to this and just trying to better understand how the fish react to the colder water. Thanks for any and all help and advice.
