Flounder gigging

My 8yr old wants to go flounder gigging for his birthday fishing trip this year.his day is June 16. A couple questions about planning to go, what seems to be the best moon phase and the preferred tide/time?I’ve never done it so it will be a learning experience for us both. Probably out of buck hall area or around some of the inlets. Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you’ve never done any giggin before I’d suggest hireing a guide and make it enjoyable for both of you , you’ll stand a far greater chance of taking home the bacon(fish)…just sayin:smiley:

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

We are not above hiring a guide. Heck I would love to find an older gentleman that may want to get out but may not get around like he once did. That same gentleman would be invited to go shrimping with us in the fall. Any guides in the area?
