Have anyone had any luck gigging in Folly River. Thinking about doing some night fishing and wanted to try out the spot lights on the boat.
Not asking for spots if so, just some idea of what area and what to look for…
Plenty of fish in the Folly at either end. Where they are will depend on water flow and surrounding structure. They like sand, mud, shells, live oysters, anything really. Just experiment,…you’ll find them.
Remember, if it looks small DON’T stick it! It probably is…

appreciate it leadenwahboy. I fish folly alot but never went for flounder yet. Was thinking about giving it a shot fishing for them and gigging.
Water has been pretty dirty this week out there and the winds been blowing 10-15mph after the sun goes down. If you can find a clean water on an oyster bank that’s blocking the wind check the mouths of the small feeder creeks real good. Low tides not until 5am down there tonight and storms are in the forecast. Be safe and good luck!
Appreciate it GooganHunter
If your around folly tomorrow look for me I will be putting in at the folly road ramp right before the beach early morning and running toward Kiawah as long as weather cooperates. I will colud show you a few spots for flounder. In a beige/tan Poineer 197 CC with a camo Clemson flag flying on top.

That’s a good target to leave your left over bait in at the end of the day…
