Fished from 7-9 on the outgoing tide. Produced way more fish than expected all on same 1/8 oz Jighead with gulp 4" swimming mullet. Over 20 flounder with few reds, trout, bluefish mixed in. Fish were mostly small but good time fishing solo. Everything released to grow
Great report. Yesterday we got on the water a little late but found that two hours before and two hours of rising tide was best for flounder…keep up the good fishing and thanks for releasing them.
He’s on a hot streak!! Bunch more little guys this time though eh? Those swimming mullet in white or chart are all I ever even use for flounder anymore. They flat work
Agreed on the swimming mullet, I have a large bucket in the gulp alive juice of white and chart. I was having trouble keeping the larger flounder hooked! I lost at least half a dozen during fight due to hook pulling. I was using too small a jighead I am pretty sure, gonna try going up to the 2/0 Trout eyes and see if results better. It was a fun time seeing 6inch flounder inhale a 4inch artificial I will say that.

All I can say is 2 hours fishing and 20 flounder + reds, trout, bluefish… You most be on one hot dock!
Can’t say I’ve ever in all my life caught 20 flounder + reds, trout, and bluefish in just 2 hours… Heck I’ve never done that in a complete day… Thinking about it, only done that a couple of times gigging… minus the trout, and blues.

I’m gonna bring the gopro next trip. It’s not even a dock. It’s a public location lol
Another member from here was with my Saturday morning. Himself and friend caught them as well. It’s not a true honey hole, just good location. I’ll probably try again this week with the video showing the frequency of fish. Back to back hits are common.
This is the most report I’ve read this year on flounder. Got out for awhile yesterday with trout eye and gulp shrimp and found a couple small flounder and a striper. Nice report
